Island / Bluffton, we present this interesting and entertaining

taken of a very specific location in our area...and all
you have to do is guess where it is! Well, actually, we

Local
Inventory
Generally
speaking, real estate inventory in the Hilton Head/Bluffton
area is climbing. Several factors are contributing to this,
including higher interest rates, gas prices, Hurricanes Katrina
& Rita, plus the Back-to-School season when fewer families
are looking for new homes. We have seen a build-up of inventory
in just about every segment, area and price-point of the marketplace,
although traffic across the board seems to be remaining reasonably
steady. Despite the build-up, prices seem to be holding, which
is great news.

We
hope that you find the following tip on home maintenance,
etc. to be helpful. If so, feel free to pass it along to a
friend.
This Month's Tip:
Hate Polishing Silver? This solution is not for everyday
or regular cleaning, but its magic will help you
out amazingly-well in a pinch. Take a good-size bowl and line
it with aluminum foil, then fill it with hot, hot water. Add
a tablespoon or so of salt and a tablespoon or so of water-softener
to the water. If the mixture is generally on-target, any portion
of silver dipped into the solution should almost instantly
become clean and shiny. No guarantees or warranties on this
one but your curiosity on it might just lead you to
a truly helpful tip! |

Highway
278 Progress
The
widening of Highway 278 in Bluffton continues from Moss
Creek to Simmonsville Road. This project is set to continue
in the evenings until next year and will result in six lanes
through the busy area just across the bridges. The short-term
traffic tie-ups are a small trade-off for a much smoother
ride in the Bluffton corridor in the near future. In addition,
those who commute from Bluffton to the island have seen
marked improvements in traffic flow since the Sheriffs
Department reviewed and adjusted the timing of the traffic
lights in the same area.
