This leading
indicator for the housing market has risen to the highest
level on record according to the National Association of Realtors.
The largest regional increase occurred in the South with its
12% hike, followed by the Midwest, the Northeast and then
the West.

Q: What is a CL-100 inspection
report?
A: The State of South
Carolina has a standardized termite and wood-infestation inspection
report that is to be completed by a qualified, licensed inspector
for real estate closings. The report is typically the responsibility
of the seller, wherein the seller pays for the cost of the
inspection as well as any repairs or treatment recommended
in the report. The report cannot be any older than 45 days
prior to closing, and licensed building contractors typically
need to get involved to evaluate if wood-rot (otherwise known
as wood-destroying fungi) is sufficiently bad enough to require
correction. Given that most damage discovered on these reports
is outside of the homes, sellers often are faced with unwanted
surprises about damage that they did not even
know existed. |

food, games and fireworks, its like attending a festival

Golf Links Tops List
Okay,
it is slightly old news, but still worth hearing. This famed
home of the MCI Heritage of Golf tournament was voted the
best golf course in the state of South Carolina for 2004 by
South Carolina magazine. According to the report which was
published in April 2005, it was a close call with Sage Valley
Golf Club with Long Cove Club coming in a very-close third
position. Way to go Harbourtown! |
